The Forest Grove Farmers Market is open every Wednesday from May thru October 4 to 8 pm on Main Street between 21st Avenue and Pacific Avenue.

The Forest Grove Farmers Market vendors offer a wide selection of local goods ranging from fresh produce, eggs, meat, honey, baked goods and prepared foods to flowers, plant starts, hand-crafted soaps and more. It attracts a weekly average of more than 2,000 visitors of all ages and demographic groups to share good food and connect with community. Additional indoor markets are also held in November and December on Sunday afternoons.

Established in 1908, the library was the first public library in Washington County. Supported by a tax levy from the beginning, the library became a city department in 1974. Since the late 1970s, the library has been located in the Municipal Services Building; its space was enlarged in the late 1990s.

Settled in 1840 and named for the Oregon white oak that once flourished on the site, Forest Grove revels in its botanically inspired past.

The town’s tree-lined streets complement the graceful collection of turn-of-the-century homes within minutes of some of the region’s finest wineries. The city also boasts the two largest giant sequoia trees in Oregon, the largest tree located on the grounds of the historic Hinman House. Forest Grove is the first city established in Washington County. Located just 25 miles (40 km) west of Portland. It is now primarily considered a bedroom suburb of Portland. The population was 21,083 at the 2010 census, an increase of 19.1% over the 2000 figure (17,708).
